Amrita Devi, a dedicated Agri-Entrepreneur from Buxar, Bihar, has transformed her livelihood and empowered her community through business diversification and sustainable farming practices.
Amrita was previously a small-scale farmer, earning ₹30,000-40,000 per year through traditional agricultural methods. However, limited opportunities and inconsistent income made her seek alternative ways to improve her financial stability.
In 2022, she joined the Agri-Entrepreneur (AE) program with JEEViKA, receiving training from NIAM. With the knowledge and financial support, she gained, Amrita opened an Agri-input shop, which soon expanded into digital banking services, nursery operations, poultry, and milk collection.
